Hand thrown stoneware 2 piece butter dish with glaze and raw clay designs. These butter dishes keeps your butter spreadable at room temperature but also fresh with a water seal. Just pack one stick (1/2 cup) of softened butter in the top piece and add a little water to the base. The water creates a seal that will help your butter stay fresh at room temperature.

All Workman Pottery wares are fired at temperatures over 2,200 degrees which makes them extra durable and safe for the dishwasher, microwave and oven. Although, direct heat such as stovetop burners and broilers should be avoided. Washing by hand and handeling with care is always recommended to extend the life of your pottery.
